1. Quotations
1.1
All quotations are valid for a period of
three months, except in circumstances where special offers have reduced
the price
1.2
All Quotations should be read in conjunction with our Specification
Sheet and the Standard Terms and Conditions
1.3
Signed frame drawings supercede all other sizes and dimensions drawn,
discussed or intimated.
2. Payment Terms
2.1(i) For the modular
package, supplied and erected by Oakwrights Country Buildings and / or
complete works, the payment schedule is : -
25% Scheduling deposit upon signing of the contract.
65% Seven days prior to delivery.
10% When the frame is erected.
2.1 (ii) For the modular package, supply only, the
payment schedule is :-
25% Scheduling deposit upon signing of the contract.
75% Seven days prior to delivery.
2.2 For the bespoke building contract the payment
schedule is :-
10% Scheduling deposit upon signing of the contract.
45% Upon approved drawings and ordering of oak.
35% Seven days prior to delivery.
10% When then frame is erected.
3. Pricing
3.1 Please note that all pricing indicated
in Oakwrights Country Buildings promotional material is for a building
module, any additional windows, doors, staircases or amendments may affect
the final written quotation provided to you by us.
3.2 Please note that ground works and roofing
costs given with a price for a complete project are indicative and subject
to individual pricing by our roofer, and a site survey by our ground worker.
Roofing prices assume machine made clay tile and no other tile types.
4. Planning
4.1 Unless using our free planning service (see below), the Client
is responsible for complying with all conditions attached to planning
permission.
4.2 It is the Client's responsibility to
apply for appropriate permissions unless utilizing our free planning service.
4.3 On receipt of a deposit, Oakwrights Country
Buildings can undertake the planning process on your behalf. The Client
will be responsible for supplying the site map. In the event that planning
is not successful the deposit will be refunded, less any fees payable
to the local authority, and a £100 administration fee.
5. Building Regulations
5.1 Following the submission of a Building
Regulation Application/ Notice for inspection by the Local Authority Building
Inspector, Oakwrights Country Buildings reserves the right to recover
the cost of any additional work that is required by the Local Authority
and not previously included in the quotation.
6. Cancellation
6.1 Should the Client wish to cancel an order, the deposit will be returned
in full, less deductions, for the following if applicable :-
Local Authority fees.
The Frame, if already constructed.
The Joinery, if already constructed.
Non-standard materials that have been ordered and delivered to Oakwrights
Country Buildings or to the client site.
7. Completion of Ground works
7.1 The Client must notify Oakwrights Country
Buildings at least 48 hours in advance if the ground works are not complete
and ready for the building to be delivered and erected.
8. Delivery
8.1 All indicated timescales are given by
Oakwrights Country Buildings in good faith. Oakwrights Country Buildings
will not accept responsibility for variations or delays caused by situations
beyond their control.
8.2 The Client or a designated representative
will be available at the time of delivery of the package to receive and
sign for materials offloaded.
8.3 After delivery and offloading, the Client
is responsible for any loss of materials due to theft or other causes
and shall be responsible for the replacement and/or the cost of replacement
in the event of loss.
9. Access
9.1 The quotation assumes adequate access
for delivery of the building by lorry.
9.2 Where access is over any unmade road,
it should be noted that ground conditions will allow delivery at certain
times, thus delivery timescales may be affected at certain times of the
year.
9.3 If it is determined by Oakwrights Country
Buildings personnel that the site is not readily accessible it is the
responsibility of the Client to provide adequate equipment and manpower
to allow delivery, only at certain times, to the foundation or the Client
agrees to reimburse Oakwrights Country Buildings for additional materials,
equipment, and/or labour expenses. Labour will be billed at a rate of
£20.00 per hour.
10. The Site
10.1 Oakwrights Country Buildings is not
responsible for the removal or disposal of materials, waste or otherwise
from the Clients site, but will leave any discarded materials in a neat
and orderly manner.
10.2 Any skips required must be supplied
by the Client.
10.3 For the duration of the on site work
the Client shall take all reasonable and appropriate steps to ensure the
safety of him/herself and of third parties, by denying access to, or personally
supervising, visits to the site.
11. Insurance
11.1 Oakwrights Country Buildings provide
Public Liability Insurance / Employers Liability Insurance. A copy of
our full insurance details can be viewed at our Head Office.
11.2 All employees and sub contractors are
instructed to take every precaution against causing damage to the Client's
property and / or services. Oakwrights Country Buildings and its employees
and sub contractors accept no responsibility for damage, however caused,
to works, services or installations on the construction site and immediate
vicinity.
11.3 Oakwrights Country Buildings and its
employees and sub contractors accept no responsibility for injury to persons
or property on the construction site or in the immediate vicinity of such
works.
12. Damage
12.1 When the Client chooses to assemble
his/her package with persons other than those employed by Oakwrights Country
Buildings any losses incurred as a result of the failure of the Client,
or any persons with whom they contract to assemble the package, are not
the fault of Oakwrights Country Buildings and / or its representatives.
12.2 Returned materials will be replaced
if found to be faulty but the replacement will not give cause to claim
against Oakwrights Country Buildings.
13. Stain Marks
13.1 Tannin from the frame may bleed into
the brickwork and / or cladding leaving rust like stains. This is a natural
process which will last for a few months only, and will eventually wash
away naturally.
13.2 Unless otherwise stipulated Oakwrights
Country Buildings shall not be responsible for the cleaning of the frame
after erection has been completed.
14. Order Confirmation
14.1 All buildings, materials and equipment
shall remain property of Oakwrights Country Buildings until payment has
been made in full.
14.2 A contract between Oakwrights Country
Buildings and the Client will not be deemed effective until a formal Order
Confirmation, signed written quotation and the deposit is received by
Oakwrights Country Buildings.
15. Guarantee
15.1 Where supplied and assembled by Oakwrights
Country Buildings the materials and workmanship of the frame come with
a 10 year guarantee. Further details are available on request from or
Head Office.
