| WHY
OAK? |
|
|
'In folk lore, often called the Father or the Protector, The Oak comes from the Genus Quercus, derived from two Celtic words quer,
or 'fine' and crez, 'tree'. Naturally beautiful, oak has a warmth and character unrivalled by any other building materials. The beauty of oak is that it grows naturally and is fully sustainable. More surprisingly, there's more available in Europe now than a century ago. Oak
is one of the most durable natural materials known to man. It is both
naturally resistant to insect and fungal attack and impervious to the
weather. It requires virtually no maintenance and is one of the few materials
that actually increase in strength with age.
