The Canterbury is a larger version of the Kenchester traditional car port, a substantially larger building, this will in all cases require planning approval (a service we can offer and are well experienced in) - the traditional cat slide roof ensures the ridge height is still relatively low when compared to the garages with a room above, whilst the internal floor space is maximised with a depth of 6.4m. With bay widths of 3m there is plenty of parking for even the largest of modern cars and plenty of room for bike storage or a workbench.
As with all our timber buildings, there are many options with the possibility to extend to multiple bays and with additions such as garage doors, windows, personnel doors and log stores, truly becoming a bespoke wooden structure. The Canterbury oak framed garage provides a truly useful outbuilding when used as a workshop, home office, gym or for storage - the possibilities are endless.
All our oak frames are fully planed and traditionally jointed and all softwood components are fully pressure treated. Where required, doors and windows are all handmade with a wide choice of materials available to complement your building.
A selection of roof styles and materials to match adjacent properties or local styles, ensures the building blends in to its natural environment.
